The Campagna Amica Farmers' Market is one of the most beloved events for both locals and visitors to the Upper Garda area. Every Friday morning, along Viale Roma in the heart of Riva del Garda (Province of Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige), about seventeen stalls of local agricultural producers transform a city street into a vibrant, zero-kilometer market. This is not a one-off event, but a weekly ritual that runs throughout the year, from winter to summer, following the rhythm of the seasons.

What you will find at the market

The stalls exclusively offer products from farms in the Trentino-Alto Adige region, adhering to the short supply chain philosophy that defines the Campagna Amica network. Offerings include:

• Seasonal fruit and vegetables, both fresh and processed, including berries typical of the Trentino mountains;
• Cheeses and dairy products from local mountain huts and dairies;
• Cured meats and fresh cuts (beef, sheep, goat, and pork) from local farms;
• Honey and bee products, jams, juices, and syrups;
• Bread and cereal products from the local supply chain.

The zero-kilometer philosophy

The market was created with a clear goal: to foster direct contact between those who cultivate the land and those who consume its fruits. Campagna Amica and Coldiretti

The initiative is part of the Campagna Amica project, a network of farmers' markets promoted by Coldiretti throughout Italy and coordinated locally by the Campagna Amica Foundation of Coldiretti Trento. The Riva del Garda market is thus part of a national circuit that protects seasonality, price transparency, and the bond between farmer and consumer.

When and where

The market is held every Friday morning on Viale Roma. Hours follow the seasons: from November to March, from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM; from April to October, from 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Admission is free.
