Celebrating the patron saint of Pino Torinese through faith, culture, and Piedmontese tradition
In the heart of the Piedmontese winter, the town of Pino Torinese, nestled in the hills just outside Turin, comes together to honor its patron saint, Sant'Andrea Corsini, whose feast day falls on February 4th. For decades, the Patronal Feast has been one of the most cherished events for the local community: a weekend where religious observance meets cultural and popular traditions, creating a celebration that bridges generations.
The spiritual centerpiece is the Holy Mass held in the evocative SS. Annunziata Church, the town's religious heart. Surrounding the liturgy is a rich calendar of cultural and musical offerings. Highlights include classical music concerts, often featuring internationally renowned musicians, and performances by the Filarmonica Pinese, the town's historic band. The program also features book presentations focused on the memory and identity of the Turin hills, with a special emphasis on the great authors who lived in and wrote about these lands.
The true symbol of the festival is the traditional lunch known as «Ël Disnè dij Paltò» — literally "the lunch of the coats" — organized by the Gastronomic Group of the Pro Loco Pinese. It is a moment of great conviviality held in the Nino Costa Middle School gymnasium, where hundreds of people gather to enjoy authentic Piedmontese cuisine. During the lunch, local merchants celebrating significant business anniversaries are honored, highlighting the strong bond between the festival and the town's economic fabric.
Sunday afternoon comes alive with performances by folk groups, offering modern interpretations of traditional Piedmontese songs. Folk sounds, the local dialect, and traditional costumes provide the backdrop for a festival that is, above all, an opportunity for the entire community to meet.
The Sant'Andrea Corsini Patronal Feast is the result of a joint effort by the Pro Loco Pinese, the Municipality of Pino Torinese, the Santa Maria del Pino Association, and the Filarmonica Pinese. More than just a religious recurrence, it is a collective ritual that strengthens the identity of Pino Torinese and celebrates its roots, language, and culinary culture in the heart of the Turin hills.

By train, the Pino Torinese station is served by the Turin–Chieri line (SFM1). Numerous bus lines also connect the town to the Piedmontese capital.
Events are primarily held at the SS. Annunziata Church (religious services and concerts) and the Nino Costa Middle School gymnasium (lunch and performances). Cultural presentations take place in the Piazza Montessori Auditorium.
