About Saint George in Trinità

Every year around April 23rd, Trinità celebrates its patron saint, Saint George, with a long and heartfelt festival that weaves together religious observances, a spring motorcycle rally, a funfair, craft markets, popular competitions, and a grand polenta feast for everyone. In the heart of this small town in the province of Cuneo, Piedmont, the Castello dei Conti Costa hosts the Mandala Fest dedicated to wellness, while the town's squares and streets come alive with market stalls, bocce games, bikers, and local traditions.

The Patronal Festival of Trinità

Saint George is the patron saint of Trinità, a small town in the province of Cuneo, in the heart of southern Piedmont, once a fiefdom of the Counts Costa. Its patronal festival, celebrated around April 23rd (the saint's liturgical day), is one of the most anticipated events of the year: a long program that, in the 2026 edition, runs from April 18th to 27th, with the heart of the festivities concentrated on the weekend of April 24th, 25th, and 26th, coinciding with the Liberation Day long weekend.

Tradition and Motors

The Saint George Festival is a happy synthesis of different spirits. There is the religious dimension, with celebrations in honor of the patron saint and the laying of laurel wreaths at the war memorials. There is the popular tradition, with card games (the scopa tournament) and bocce matches that attract enthusiasts from all over the area. And there is the roar of engines from the "Burnout di primavera" Motorcycle Rally, now a classic of the Trinità spring, which brings dozens of bikers to town for a ride through the hills and the Langhe.

The Mandala Fest at the Castle

One of the most distinctive offerings is the Mandala Fest, an event dedicated to wellness and holistic disciplines held in the evocative setting of the Castello dei Conti Costa. Practitioners, exhibitors, and curious visitors gather for a day of harmony, in a historical context that adds further value to the initiative.

Flavor, Markets, and Fun

The convivial dimension, the true glue of the festival, is not lacking: the Grand Polenta Feast for all at the Bocciofila, the "Creatori d'ingegno" (Creators of Ingenuity) stands featuring crafts and creativity in Piazza Umberto I, the traditional "colassion dèl gal", and guided tours of the Town Hall. For children and families, the funfair in Piazza Conte Costa accompanies the entire duration of the event. An authentic village festival, capable of uniting generations and telling the story of Trinità's identity.
