Erli's White Polenta

The Sagra della Polenta Bianca is the gastronomic event that draws good food enthusiasts to Erli every summer, a small village in Val Neva in the province of Savona. The event, with over twenty years of history, is organized by the Pro Loco Val di Neva Erli and is held at the town's Sports Field.

A Unique Dish

Erli's white polenta is different from classic yellow polenta: it is prepared with a mixture of potatoes, wheat flour, and water, spread on a wooden board and cut into slices. The traditional topping is based on cream, leeks, dried porcini mushrooms, and pine nuts, for a creamy and flavourful result. Alongside the main dish, stands offer other specialties of Ligurian tradition.

Two Evenings of Celebration

The sagra unfolds over two evenings of good food, live music, and conviviality, with gastronomic stands open from the evening. A village event that brings the community and visitors together around the table.

Erli and Val Neva

Recognized among the Authentic Ligurian Events, the sagra showcases a fascinating territory: Erli, whose origins are legendarily linked to the Eruli people, is located along the ancient salt road, not far from the Arma Veirana cave, where a Mesolithic burial dating back about 10,000 years was found. A perfect destination for those seeking the authenticity of the Savona hinterland.
