Every last Sunday of the month under the medieval arcades
Pieve di Teco, in the province of Imperia, was founded as a market town on a plain destined for trade since antiquity. The Mercatino dell'Antiquariato (Antique Market) is built upon this heritage, a monthly event that has enlivened the village for over thirty years on the last Sunday of every month.
Under the charming medieval arcades of the historic centre, an average of 150 exhibitors set up their stalls, many of whom come from outside the region. The offerings range from "all sorts of antique objects, even simple, rural, rudimentary ones" to more valuable and prestigious pieces: furniture, prints, ceramics, books, coins, and curiosities for collectors and enthusiasts.
The setting is that of the stone portals and narrow streets of Pieve di Teco, which is part of the long tradition of rich fairs that have been held there for centuries on set dates. Visiting the market means discovering both collecting and the architecture of one of the most characteristic villages in the Valle Arroscia.
For 2026, the Mercatino dell'Antiquariato confirms its monthly schedule in Pieve di Teco, on the last Sunday of each month. Verified dates by the Municipality include January 25th, February 22nd, March 29th, April 26th, and May 31st, with regular continuation in the following months. Around 150 exhibitors liven up the historic centre's arcades with furniture, prints, ceramics, and vintage curiosities.
