About Sagralea

In the hilly hamlet of Salea d'Albenga, in mid-August, Sagralea takes place, a historic festival dedicated to Pigato wine and typical Ligurian products, now in its fifty-seventh edition. Featuring local cuisine, glasses of Pigato, live music, and evening DJ sets, the event celebrates one of the oenological excellences of the Riviera di Ponente in the heart of the Albenga plain, a land dedicated to quality viticulture and agriculture.

Salea, land of Pigato

On the hills overlooking the plain of Albenga (Province of Savona), the hamlet of Salea is one of the symbolic places of Western Ligurian viticulture, home of Pigato, a fresh and mineral white wine that is one of the region's oenological excellences. Here, for almost sixty years, Sagralea has been held, a festival dedicated precisely to Pigato and typical local products, now in its fifty-seventh edition in 2026.

A festival of wine, food, and music

The heart of the event is the fusion of typical Ligurian cuisine and local wines, with Pigato taking centre stage. The evenings combine food stalls with live music and DJ sets, in a festive atmosphere that attracts many visitors from the coast and the hinterland every year. It is one of the longest-running and most beloved summer festivals in the Albenga plain.

The identity of a territory

More than just a village festival, Sagralea is a celebration of agricultural and wine-growing identity. The hamlet of Salea, with its vineyards, tells a lesser-known side of Liguria, one deeply connected to the land: the hinterland of Albenga, where vines and vegetables coexist with the hilly landscape just a few kilometres from the sea.
