The porcino mushroom takes centre stage in the village of the Orobie Park
The Sagra dei Funghi di Bema is the gastronomic event that every September enlivens the small village of Bema, in the province of Sondrio, nestled in the Parco delle Orobie Valtellinesi. The absolute star is the porcino mushroom, celebrated with traditional local dishes.
The stalls offer porcini mushroom specialities such as polenta, risotto and gnocchi, accompanied by wine tastings. The mycological exhibition allows visitors to get to know the different species of the undergrowth up close, while walks through the village and live music complete a day of celebration dedicated to taste and conviviality.
Bema is one of those villages reached by climbing through the woods, far from the most beaten tourist routes. The sagra is the ideal opportunity to discover it: a few hundred inhabitants, alpine views and a strong sense of community, in the heart of the Valtellina Orobie.
Organised by the Pro Loco Bema, the sagra has free admission and is one of the most anticipated events of the local autumn. An event rooted in the territory, which combines a passion for mushroom picking with the mountain cuisine of the province of Sondrio.
The 40th edition of the Sagra dei Funghi di Bema enlivens the village on September 12 and 13, 2026. Two days dedicated to the porcino mushroom and Valtellina cuisine, organised by Pro Loco Bema in the Orobie Park.
