Overlooking the lower Valtellina, Andalo Valtellino is a small municipality in the province of Sondrio whose summer traditions revolve around the tireless local Pro Loco. Among the most cherished events is the mountain festival at Reolino (a location also known as Revolido), which brings the community up to the heights, far from the valley floor.
The day has the authentic flavour of alpine festivals: the Holy Mass celebrated outdoors, immersed in the green of the pastures, followed by a communal lunch with the signature dishes of Valtellina cuisine, from polenta taragna to sausage. It's the classic village gathering where residents, holidaymakers, and hikers come together in nature, in a simple and familiar atmosphere.
The event, organized by the Pro Loco of Andalo Valtellino, typically takes place in the first weeks of July and is part of a summer calendar that the municipality, in the province of Sondrio, enlivens with numerous initiatives in sports, music, and tradition.
Festa al Reolino — edition 2026
For summer 2026, the Pro Loco of Andalo Valtellino will again host the mountain festival at Reolino, a well-established event in the village calendar. The exact date, usually set for early July, will be officially announced with the Pro Loco's summer program.
The structure of the day remains the tried-and-tested formula: the outdoor Holy Mass at altitude and the communal lunch with polenta taragna and sausage. In case of bad weather, the event is postponed, as has happened in the past.
