Between ancient courtyards and cellars, the taste tour in Bassa Valtellina
Gustosando in Valtellina is a travelling food and wine event organised by the Consorzio Turistico Porte di Valtellina, which stops in several municipalities in Bassa Valtellina every autumn. The Talamona stop, in the province of Sondrio, is among the most popular.
During the event, the historic cellars in the centre of Talamona open their doors and offer a tasting route: you walk from one courtyard to another, sampling typical dishes โ tarรฒz, bresaola, cheeses, cured meats โ paired with great Valtellina wines such as Inferno and Botonero. The cellars are open on Saturdays and Sundays, and the route is enlivened by music, entertainment, and guided tours by local volunteers who share the village's history.
More than just a festival, Gustosando is an experience of territorial discovery: an opportunity to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the villages of alpine Lombardy, amidst rural architecture, wine tradition, and hospitality. Passes for the tasting routes can be purchased online on the event's official website.
