Morbegno's Cellars Open Their Doors

Morbegno in Cantina is the great wine festival of Morbegno (Province of Sondrio): for a few autumn weekends, about fifty historic cellars in the center open their doors to the public, allowing you to taste Valtellina wines in the evocative settings of traditional 'crotti' (stone cellars) and old cellars. The historic center thus transforms into a widespread food and wine trail, to be discovered with a glass in hand.

A Journey Through the Flavors of Valtellina

The event celebrates the wine identity of the territory, particularly the wines made from the Nebbiolo grape (called Chiavennasca here) that have made Valtellina famous. Alongside the wines, the cellars offer local typical products, from cheeses to cured meats, in pairings that tell the gastronomic culture of this alpine valley. Each cellar becomes a stop on an itinerary of taste, history, and atmosphere.
