Sagra degli IN: The Gourmet Festival of the Langhe
In the heart of the Moscato Langhe, the town of Cossano Belbo in the province of Cuneo (Piedmont) hosts the Sagra degli IN every year, one of the most beloved food and wine events in the region. Organized by the Pro Loco of Cossano Belbo since 1992, the festival transforms the historic center and Piazza Giovanni Balbo into a grand culinary journey for two evenings, featuring food stalls, roving dinners, and entertainment.
A Roving Dinner with Celebrity Chefs
The hallmark of the Sagra is the presence of nationally renowned guest chefs, who complement traditional dishes with their own signature creations. Recent editions have featured household names such as Fulvio Marino with his wood-fired pizzas, Daniele Persegani and Cristina Lunardini with their gourmet gnocco fritto and piadina featuring Langa flavors, and Sergio Barzetti with his signature risottos.
Local Flavors
Alongside the guest chefs, the Pro Loco stalls offer the great classics of Piedmontese cuisine:
- Fassona beef tartare and Piedmontese appetizers
- Vitello tonnato (veal with tuna sauce) and carpione
- Tajarin with meat sauce and fried raviolini del plin
- Bollito misto (mixed boiled meats) with bagnet sauce
- Piedmontese street food and gourmet sandwiches
- Traditional desserts: hazelnut cake, bunet, and gelato
The dishes are paired with wines from the surrounding hills, a land famous for Moscato d'Asti and labels that have made the Langhe world-renowned.
Music, Entertainment, and Atmosphere
The Sagra degli IN is more than just gastronomy: every evening the program features live music, tribute bands, rock groups, DJ sets, and musical fireworks that light up the village sky. Storytellers, street performers, and cocktail parties complete a convivial and popular atmosphere that attracts visitors from across the Langhe and the Asti area.
A Village in the UNESCO Hills
Cossano Belbo is located along the Belbo Valley, in a hilly landscape that is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Piedmontese Vineyard Landscapes. Attending the Sagra degli IN is also an opportunity to discover this authentic corner of the province of Cuneo, among vineyards, wineries, and enduring rural traditions.
Sagra degli IN — edition 2026
The Sagra degli IN 2026 was held in Cossano Belbo (CN) on May 15 and 16, in the heart of the Moscato Langhe.
Friday, May 15, from 7 PM, food stalls opened with appetizers, tajarin, Piedmontese street food (including fried raviolini and gourmet sandwiches with tripe and braised meat), grilled dishes, and desserts; at 10 PM, the musical fireworks show by Gamondi and the "Gli Anni d'Oro" tribute to the hits of Vasco Rossi, Ligabue, and 883 were scheduled. Part of the Friday program was partially cancelled due to bad weather.
Saturday, May 16, from 6 PM, a grand roving dinner took place through the center with guest chefs: Fulvio Marino (pizzas), Daniele Persegani and Cristina Lunardini (gnocco fritto and piadina), and Sergio Barzetti (risottos), alongside Piedmontese classics like beef tartare, vitello tonnato, and bollito misto. The evening was accompanied by live rock music, storytellers, and DJ sets.
A free shuttle service was active during both evenings.

How to get there
By car: from Alba or Canelli following the Belbo Valley (SP); from Asti approximately 35 km. By train: the most convenient stations are Castagnole delle Lanze or Alba, followed by a short drive.
Shuttle Service
A free shuttle service is available during the evenings, approximately from 5:30 PM to 1:00 AM, to facilitate access to the center.
