The event takes place at the Sagginale Sports Field on Via Ponte d'Annibale and is organized by the local sports association, A.S.D. Sagginale.

The festival has deep roots: it began in the early seventies, alongside the local football team, to help fund its activities. Since then, it has become a staple of the Mugello summer, drawing families, groups of friends, and visitors from neighboring towns every evening. The Mugello tortello takes center stage
