The traveling artists arrive in Salmour

On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 9:00 PM, Parco Crova in Salmour, a small town in the province of Cuneo, Piedmont, will host a special evening presented by the Scavalcamontagne Company. The performance, "Ricette e Sinfonie", is one of the company's most beloved productions, featured as part of their seventh annual national touring project, "In Cammino 2026".

Who are the Scavalcamontagne?

The Scavalcamontagne project was born in 2020 during the lockdown, conceived by a group of professional musical theatre artists who chose to take culture out of traditional theatres, reaching small villages and town squares on foot with backpacks in tow. The actors hike along hill and mountain trails during the day, performing in the evening in the towns they pass through: a slow, ancient way of bringing art back to smaller communities. The tour is supported by institutions such as Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, Fondazione CRT, Fondazione CRC, the Piedmont Region, and numerous local partners.

The show "Ricette e Sinfonie"

"Ricette e Sinfonie" is a theatrical and musical performance freely adapted from "Immoral Recipes" by writer Manuel Vázquez Montalbán. It offers a fun and slightly spicy interpretation of the relationship between food and eros, told through warm piano notes, beautiful opera arias, and songs from a bygone era. The result is a true pairing of food and art, where the audience is invited to enjoy the show through all their senses, blending words, music, and gastronomic suggestions.

The Salmour evening is part of the 2026 tour opening calendar, which began in the so-called "Lands of the Savoy" with a series of dates across the squares of the Cuneo and Turin areas.
