Prosciuttiamo – Gran Festa del Prosciutto di Saint-Marcel is one of the most beloved food and wine events in the Aosta Valley. The Municipality of Saint-Marcel, in the Province of Aosta, is a dispersed territory that develops vertically, from the valley floor up to an altitude of 1,800 meters: it is precisely along this difference in altitude that the famous Via del Prosciutto unfolds, a route of about eighteen kilometers dotted with tasting points.
The Via del Prosciutto
The heart of the event are the merenderie (snack bars) and agriturismos located along the route, where you can taste the renowned Saint-Marcel prosciutto and the specialties of alpine cuisine. Alongside the tasting stands is the famous Vassoio Prosciuttiamo (Prosciuttiamo Platter), a convivial symbol of the festival. The expected attendance exceeds ten thousand visitors over the three days.
Sports, music, and tradition
Alongside food, Prosciuttiamo offers the Vertical Saint-Marcel, a mountain running race that takes athletes along the slopes of the village, and a rich evening musical program with concerts and dance evenings. A mix of taste, sport, and popular festival that makes Saint-Marcel a reference point for the Aosta Valley summer.
Prosciuttiamo — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of Prosciuttiamo takes place from June 19 to 21 in Saint-Marcel. For three days, the Via del Prosciutto – eighteen kilometers between the valley floor and pastures at 1,800 meters – comes alive with tastings, music, and sports. Friday opens with the prosciutto cutting and a concert by L'Orage; Saturday is dedicated to the Vertical Saint-Marcel and a concert by The Bluebeaters & Friends; Sunday closes with food stands and a dance evening.

How to get there
Saint-Marcel is located along the SS26 east of Aosta. Aosta Est exit from the A5 motorway. The nearest train station is Nus. Shuttle services to the high-altitude tasting points are usually provided along the Via del Prosciutto.
Tastings
The Vassoio Prosciuttiamo and tastings at the merenderie are subject to a fee. The official event app (iOS and Android) with map and updated program is available.
