A festival spread between the solstice and the equinox
The In-Equilibrio Festival is a series of events distributed across time and space that brings the village of Ceresole Reale to life in the upper Orco Valley (Metropolitan City of Turin, Piedmont) from the summer solstice to the autumn equinox. From June to September, this small mountain village, nestled at an altitude of over 1,600 meters in the Gran Paradiso National Park, hosts a constellation of small-scale events revolving around a simple, universal theme: balance and its opposite.
Rather than a single large event concentrated over a few days, it is a series of appointments spread throughout the summer, designed for those who wish to experience the mountains in a slow and mindful way. Workshops, recreational moments, family activities, excursions, yoga sessions, and forest bathing take place in various locations across the municipal territory, from the artificial lake to the Mineral Springs, and through the meadows and woods surrounding the village.
Balance of body and mind
The common thread of the festival is the search for balance in all its forms: the physical balance of disciplines like slacklining and stone balancing, the inner balance of meditation and connection with nature, and the balance of the alpine ecosystem protected by the Gran Paradiso National Park. Most events are free and accessible to all ages, from children to adults.
In the highest village of Gran Paradiso
Ceresole Reale is one of the most evocative gateways to the Gran Paradiso National Park, Italy's first national park. The festival was created to promote the territory beyond peak tourist times and to offer slow tourism linked to the environment, light sports, and wellness. The festival is organized by the Ceresole Reale Tourism and Development Association with the support of the Municipality of Ceresole Reale and the Gran Paradiso National Park.
Who is it for?
The In-Equilibrio Festival is ideal for families, hikers, wellness and nature enthusiasts, and anyone seeking an alternative summer experience away from the crowds. Many activities do not require special skills: all you need is comfortable shoes and a willingness to get involved. The festival takes place entirely within the territory of the Municipality of Ceresole Reale, in the Province of Turin.
In-Equilibrio — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the In-Equilibrio Festival enlivens Ceresole Reale throughout the summer, from the solstice to the equinox. The festival opens with two events dedicated to physical balance and continues with hikes, stargazing, and wellness activities distributed throughout the summer months. All events take place within the territory of the Municipality of Ceresole Reale, inside the Gran Paradiso National Park, and are largely free of charge.
Programme In-Equilibrio 2026
June 20 — Slackline for Everyone
- 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM — Green area in the Mineral Springs locality. Introduction to slacklining with instructors from the Torino Sul Filo association, featuring courses for beginners and advanced practitioners. Free activity open to children, teenagers, and adults (minors must be accompanied by an adult). Comfortable clothing and flat-soled sports shoes are recommended.
June 21 — Stone Balance
- 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM — Stone balance lessons with expert Giovanni Quatela
- 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM — Practice sessions for participants
- 4:30 PM — Demonstration by the expert
Venue: Camping Piccolo Paradiso, Foiere locality, Orco Valley. A free day to learn how to defy gravity and rediscover your inner balance while immersed in the nature of Gran Paradiso.
June to September — Journey through the summer sky
- 10:00 PM - 11:15 PM — Stargazing evenings with astrophysicist Lorenzo Colombo, dedicated to the summer sky of Gran Paradiso (scheduled throughout the summer months).

- Food and wine walk around the lake
- Yoga sessions and forest bathing

Location

How to get there
By car from Turin, reach Ceresole Reale by traveling up the Orco Valley along the SP460 through Locana and Noasca (approximately 2 hours). In summer, the village is connected by seasonal transport services. It is advisable to check mountain road conditions before departure.
