About Aperitif Concerts

The Aperitif Concerts are the Sunday appointment with classical music in Aosta: every Sunday morning at 11:00 AM, at the SFOM Auditorium in via Xavier de Maistre, piano recitals, chamber music, and programs ranging from Baroque to the 20th century take turns. At the end of each concert, the audience is invited to a convivial aperitif. An intimate and refined formula that has accompanied the autumn and spring mornings of the Aosta Valley residents for almost four decades.

Sunday Morning Classical Music

The Aperitif Concerts are a historic classical music series organized in Aosta by the Maria Ida Viglino Foundation for Musical Culture, as part of SFOM's activities. The concerts are held on Sunday mornings at 11:00 AM in the SFOM Auditorium at via Xavier de Maistre 19, in the heart of the Aosta Valley capital.

A Refined and Accessible Program

The series features piano recitals, chamber music, ensembles, and programs spanning great composers, from Bach to Debussy, from Baroque to Impressionism, including Respighi, Szymanowski, and Prokofiev. The short duration and morning timing make the concerts perfect for informally discovering classical music.

The Aperitif Ritual

What makes this series special is the convivial moment that follows each performance: at the end of the concert, the audience shares an aperitif, transforming the musical event into an occasion for socialising. It is a tradition that, edition after edition, has built a loyal audience in the Aosta Valley.

A Series in Two Seasons

The Aperitif Concerts are divided into two annual sessions: a spring season (February-March) and an autumn season (October-December), for a total of numerous events that cover a good part of Aosta's musical year.

Aperitif Concerts — edition 2026

The 37th edition of the Aperitif Concerts features 15 events divided into two seasons: 6 concerts in spring (February 22 – March 22) and 9 in autumn (October 4 – December). Every Sunday at 11:00 AM at the SFOM Auditorium in Aosta, followed by an aperitif. Ticket €8.

The 2026 edition of the Aperitif Concerts is the XXXVII (37th) and offers a total of 15 concerts, divided between the spring season (6 events, from February 22 to March 22) and the autumn season (9 events, from October 4 to December).
