An afternoon of Carnival fun for kids, teens, and families, hosted by the Pro Loco
The Carnival Festival is one of the most beloved winter traditions in Pino Torinese, a charming town perched on the hills overlooking Turin, in the Piedmont region. Organized by the Pro Loco of Pino Torinese with the support of the local municipality, the event is tailor-made for children and families: a full afternoon dedicated to fun, dressing up, and the infectious joy of the Carnival season.
The event is held indoors at the "Nino Costa" middle school gym, located in Piazza del Municipio, in the heart of the town. Choosing a heated indoor space makes the festival perfect even when the February hill weather is chilly, allowing children and parents to enjoy the Carnival in complete comfort.
The heart of the festival is the entertainment: games, music, and group activities keep children engaged all afternoon. Highlights include the classic costume parade, which celebrates the most original and creative outfits, and the wild confetti battle that fills the gym with color. There is also plenty of wonder to be found, with live entertainment and performances.
In true Piedmontese tradition, the Carnival in Pino Torinese ends on a sweet note: all participants are treated to a snack featuring the essential fried bugie (traditional Carnival fritters), along with mini pizzas, chips, and drinks. It is a delicious way to celebrate together before heading home.
More than just an event, the local Carnival is a gathering point for the entire community of the Turin hills: an opportunity for families, grandparents, and children to spend a few hours together in an informal and welcoming atmosphere. Admission is free, and the initiative is part of the rich calendar of festivals and traditions organized by the Pro Loco throughout the year in this town in the Province of Turin.
