The Piedmontese Rice Bio-District Day takes place at Cascina Teglio, a certified organic farm that produces varieties such as Carnaroli, Sant'Andrea, Baldo, and Rosa Marchetti, following the principles of sustainable, low-water-consumption agriculture.

The Piedmontese Rice Bio-District

The event is promoted as part of the Piedmontese Rice Bio-District, established in 2021 between the provinces of Vercelli and Biella to promote organic production and agricultural biodiversity in the region. The Bio-District brings together rice farmers who have chosen to cultivate with respect for the environment, reducing the impact on the ecosystem and protecting the species that inhabit the rice paddies.
