Antiques, vintage finds, and crafts under the medieval arcades of the Old Town
The Masserano Antique Market is one of the most evocative events in the Biella region's calendar. Organized by the Pro Loco of Masserano with the patronage of the Municipality of Masserano, in the province of Biella (Piedmont), the market takes place in the unique setting of the Old Town: the stalls wind from Piazza del Mercato along the medieval arcades of Via Beccherie, cross the characteristic Vicolo Offelletto, and reach the lower village square.
Around seventy exhibitors offer antiques, collectibles, vintage items, and artistic crafts. Among the stalls, you can hunt for period furniture, everyday objects, vinyl records, books and comics, postcards and prints from the Biella area, ceramics, 20th-century design, and small-scale crafts. It is an opportunity for both expert collectors and curious visitors looking for a unique piece.
The market is also an opportunity to discover the village's heritage. During the event, guided tours of the Palazzo dei Principiโa Renaissance residence with decorated rooms, coffered ceilings, and fine stucco workโand the medieval church of San Teonesto are scheduled. There is no shortage of culinary delights, with the Pro Loco refreshment point, stalls selling local products, and tastings of Bramaterra and Coste della Sesia, the wines that tell the story of the Upper Piedmont territory.
Launched in 2025, the festival has captured an audience from not only Biella but also Novara, Vercelli, Milan, and Turin since its very first edition. Its success led to the event doubling, with both a spring and an autumn edition, confirming Masserano as a small capital of antiques in the Biella region.
The 2026 edition of the Masserano Antique Market offers two days: Saturday, May 23 and Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with free admission. The stalls of the approximately 70 exhibitors are distributed along the arcades of Via Beccherie, Vicolo Offelletto, and the squares of the Old Town.
For 2026, the program also includes guided tours of the Palazzo dei Principi (approximate times 10:00 AMโ12:00 PM and 3:00 PMโ6:00 PM) and the medieval church of San Teonesto, in addition to the Pro Loco refreshment point and tastings of Bramaterra and Coste della Sesia. Tours and tastings require a reservation.
