About Masserano Antique Market

Twice a year, the Old Town of Masserano, in the Biella area, transforms into a large open-air market dedicated to antiques, collectibles, vintage items, and handicrafts. Around seventy exhibitors bring the medieval arcades of Via Beccherie, the charming Vicolo Offelletto, and the village squares to life with period furniture, vinyl records, books, prints, and 20th-century objects. It is a day that blends a passion for the past with guided tours of the Palazzo dei Principi and tastings of local wines.

A market in the heart of the Old Town

The Masserano Antique Market is one of the most evocative events in the Biella region's calendar. Organized by the Pro Loco of Masserano with the patronage of the Municipality of Masserano, in the province of Biella (Piedmont), the market takes place in the unique setting of the Old Town: the stalls wind from Piazza del Mercato along the medieval arcades of Via Beccherie, cross the characteristic Vicolo Offelletto, and reach the lower village square.

What you will find among the stalls

Around seventy exhibitors offer antiques, collectibles, vintage items, and artistic crafts. Among the stalls, you can hunt for period furniture, everyday objects, vinyl records, books and comics, postcards and prints from the Biella area, ceramics, 20th-century design, and small-scale crafts. It is an opportunity for both expert collectors and curious visitors looking for a unique piece.

More than just stalls: art, history, and flavor

The market is also an opportunity to discover the village's heritage. During the event, guided tours of the Palazzo dei Principiโ€”a Renaissance residence with decorated rooms, coffered ceilings, and fine stucco workโ€”and the medieval church of San Teonesto are scheduled. There is no shortage of culinary delights, with the Pro Loco refreshment point, stalls selling local products, and tastings of Bramaterra and Coste della Sesia, the wines that tell the story of the Upper Piedmont territory.

A young but already beloved event

Launched in 2025, the festival has captured an audience from not only Biella but also Novara, Vercelli, Milan, and Turin since its very first edition. Its success led to the event doubling, with both a spring and an autumn edition, confirming Masserano as a small capital of antiques in the Biella region.
