An art exhibition inside the Vicolungo outlet

In the heart of Vicolungo The Style Outlets, in the town of Vicolungo (Province of Novara, Piedmont), an unexpected space transforms into a cultural hub: the Vico Lounge hosts Salotto IOTIAMO Vicolungo, an exhibition dedicated to relational art and contemporary languages. Here, art is not just something to look at, but something to experience together: empathy, listening, and sharing are at the core of a project that brings exhibitions, meetings, and workshops into a setting usually associated with shopping.

The concept and the organizers

The project was born from an idea by Novara-based artist Antonio Spanedda, who had previously exhibited his works at the center, and is curated and managed by the Associazione Culturale Creativa ACC ETS. The goal is to make the Vico Lounge an open, vibrant, and shared space where people can tell their stories, listen to others, and create in connection with one another. This is how a transit area becomes a small cultural outpost for the Novara territory.

The "Duo Creativo" format

The 2026 edition introduces the "Duo Creativo" (Creative Duo) format, which brings artists with different visions and sensibilities into dialogue, creating a fertile tension from which paired exhibitions emerge. Alongside the displays, the exhibition offers Salotti dell'Ascolto (Listening Lounges) — one-on-one meetings titled "Fasuma na ciciarada" — and participatory workshops open to everyone, such as those dedicated to Mail Art, which uses the postal system as a creative and communicative tool.

Contemporary art accessible to all

One of the most appreciated features of Salotto IOTIAMO is its total accessibility: admission is free and open to all, with no tickets or reservations required. Exhibitions rotate throughout the entire season, from April to early October, offering outlet visitors — and those arriving specifically for the event — the chance to discover painting, sculpture, textile art, and mail art by local and international artists. It is an original way to bring contemporary art out of museums and into daily life, in the Novara plains just minutes from the motorway exit.
