A market for handmade crafts and South Tyrolean flavors in the historic courtyard of Ansitz Gaudententurm in Rablà
Olls hondgmocht — a South Tyrolean dialect expression meaning "all handmade" — is a market for artistic crafts and genuine flavors that, every May, transforms the courtyard of the Ansitz Gaudententurm in Rablà (Rabland) into a vibrant showcase of South Tyrolean creativity. The event takes place in the village of Rablà, part of the municipality of Parcines/Partschins in the province of Bolzano, at the gateway to the Val Venosta.
The market is held within the ancient walls and lush greenery of the historic Ansitz Gaudententurm courtyard, a manor house that offers a timeless atmosphere. Surrounded by blooming flowers and shrubs, the exhibitors' stalls are arranged in an intimate setting that invites visitors to browse at a leisurely pace, far from the crowds of larger events.
The stars of the show are artisans, artists, herbal experts, and local producers from South Tyrol, with over 35 stalls. The craft selection includes:
Alongside the crafts, there is a strong focus on gastronomy, featuring local farm specialties: speck, cheese from the local dairy, wood-fired bread, spirits, honey and beehive products, apple juice, jams, chutneys, and herbal salts. For lunch, visitors can enjoy dishes such as pulled pork sandwiches and vegetarian dumplings with cheese and herbs.
Olls hondgmocht is part of the spring event calendar in the Merano area and offers an authentic opportunity to discover the artisanal expertise of the Val Venosta and the Parcines region in Trentino-South Tyrol. Admission to the event is free.
