About LanaPhil

LanaPhil is a major international collectors' fair that brings together enthusiasts and dealers from five nations twice a year in Lana, in the heart of South Tyrol. Held at the local Raiffeisenhaus, the event sees stamps, coins, historical postcards, banknotes, holy cards, militaria, and all sorts of curiosities change hands in a friendly and convivial atmosphere. With around fifty exhibitors and free admission, it is one of the most renowned collectors' fairs in the Alpine region.

One of the most renowned collectors' fairs in the Alpine region

Two Sundays a year, in spring and autumn, the Raiffeisenhaus in Lana transforms into a meeting point for collectors from across the entire Alpine region. LanaPhil – International Collectors' Fair is a long-standing event for the municipality of Lana, in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano (South Tyrol), attracting enthusiasts, dealers, and curious visitors from five nations: Italy, Austria, Germany, Belgium, and the Czech Republic.

What you can find at the fair

At around fifty stalls, you can search for, find, and trade all kinds of collectibles. Philately and numismatics remain the heart of the fair, but the selection goes far beyond stamps and coins:

  • antique and personalized stamps
  • historical coins and banknotes
  • vintage postcards and period letters
  • holy cards, books, and historical documents
  • militaria, antique photographs, and all sorts of curiosities

It is not uncommon for the Austrian Post to participate with its own stand dedicated to the "Philatelietag," presenting special issues and personalized stamps related to the history and landmarks of Lana and South Tyrol.

A twice-yearly appointment

LanaPhil is held on a semi-annual basis, with a spring and an autumn edition, always on a Sunday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Admission is free, and there is a car park near the Raiffeisenhaus, making the fair easily accessible even for those arriving from outside the province.

Lana and the Burgraviato

The event takes place in Lana, a charming town in the Burgraviato district nestled among orchards, just a few kilometres from Merano. Beyond the fair, visitors can take the opportunity to discover the historic centre, the churches, and the surrounding area, blending a passion for collecting with the cultural tourism typical of South Tyrol.

LanaPhil — edition 2026

In 2026, LanaPhil returns to the Raiffeisenhaus in Lana with its two traditional appointments: Sunday, 26 April (49th edition) and Sunday, 27 September (50th anniversary edition), both from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The fair brings together about fifty exhibitors from Italy, Austria, Germany, Belgium, and the Czech Republic, with stamps, coins, postcards, banknotes, militaria, and curiosities. Free admission and parking nearby.

The 2026 editions

The 2026 edition of LanaPhil is divided into the usual two semi-annual appointments at the Raiffeisenhaus in Lana. The 49th edition was held on Sunday, 26 April 2026, while the 50th edition — marking half a century of the fair's history — is scheduled for Sunday, 27 September 2026. Both days follow the usual hours, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

As always, the event brings together about fifty exhibitors and numerous collectors from five nations (Italy, Austria, Germany, Belgium, and the Czech Republic). Among the stalls, you can find personalized stamps, historical coins, antique postcards, banknotes, period letters, holy cards, books, militaria, and photographs. Admission remains free, with parking available near the Raiffeisenhaus.
