The great Bavarian and Trentino beer festival at the Trentino Music Arena
Every autumn, the city of Trento, the capital of the autonomous province of Trentino-Alto Adige, hosts one of the most anticipated events on the calendar: Oktoberfest Trento – Trento and Bavaria. For several consecutive weekends, the vast Trentino Music Arena on Via San Vincenzo turns into an authentic Central European village, where the traditions of the Munich beer festival meet the alpine, convivial spirit of Trentino.
This event is more than just a beer festival; it is rooted in a deep cultural and historical connection. It pays tribute to Andrea Michele Dall'Armi, a Trentino native who emigrated to Munich and played a key role in the origins of the Bavarian Oktoberfest. This common thread between the two alpine regions gives Oktoberfest Trento a distinct identity, celebrating the cultural exchange between Trentino and Bavaria.
The beating heart of the festival is the Festzelt, a large Bavarian-style marquee where guests dine, toast, and dance to the rhythm of folk bands. Adjacent to it is the Biergarten, the traditional beer garden, alongside areas dedicated to younger crowds like the BOM. #cuoretrentino arena, featuring DJ sets and themed nights. The entire site, spanning several thousand square meters, welcomes thousands of visitors of all ages every evening.
The star of the show is the gastronomy: Bavarian beer steins, bratwurst, pork knuckle, sauerkraut, and Tyrolean specialties are served alongside traditional Trentino dishes. Every evening, the Festzelt offers authentic menus in a warm, convivial atmosphere filled with collective toasts and live music.
Oktoberfest Trento stands out for its commitment to the environment: it is an eco-friendly and pet-friendly event designed to welcome families, groups of friends, and fans of Bavarian culture. Organized by EDG Spettacoli, the festival has become a staple of the Trentino autumn, drawing visitors from across the region and beyond.
The 2026 edition of Oktoberfest Trento, the fourteenth, will be held from Friday, September 18 to Sunday, October 4, 2026 at the Trentino Music Arena in Trento.
