The Lavis Theatre Season is the live performance festival organized annually by the Municipality of Lavis, a hub in the Piana Rotaliana area just outside Trento, in Trentino-Alto Adige. Spanning the autumn and winter months, the season combines prose for adult audiences, children's theatre, and dialect theatre, creating a programme designed for the entire community.
A programme spread across the territory
The heart of the festival is the Municipal Auditorium at Via Fabio Filzi 21, but the programming extends to the surrounding hamlets: the Pressano Parish Theatre and the Sorni Community House in Piazza dell'Assunta. This choice reflects the project's core mission: to bring theatre closer to the people in recognizable, welcoming spaces rooted in the town's daily life.
Prose, families, and new generations
The prose programme features shows ranging from civil storytelling to comedy and brilliant theatre, often touching on themes of memory, mountain life, and current events. Alongside the evening season, the family-focused TUTTIaTEATRO series offers a rich calendar of children's theatre with fairy tales and stories designed for different age groups, many of which are free of charge: a wonderful way for the youngest to encounter live theatre from an early age.

The season is promoted by the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Lavis, in collaboration with the provincial network Trentino Spettacoli. Lavis is located a few kilometres north of Trento and is easily accessible by car via the A22 motorway (Trento Nord exit) and by regional public transport. The Trento train station is connected by frequent bus services.
