In Fabro Scalo, in the province of Terni, the National Market Exhibition of Truffles and Quality Agri-food Products is one of the most anticipated food and wine fairs in Umbria. Recognized as a national fair, it attracts producers and visitors from all over Italy every November, coinciding with the Feast of the patron saint San Martino.

Stands, flavors, and tradition

Along Via Vittorio Emanuele and Via del Campo Sportivo, you'll find the food and wine stands offering truffles, chestnuts, wine, and local products. The fair hosts stands from Campagna Amica - Coldiretti, Slow Food Orvieto, an animal exhibition, and craft stalls, accompanied by shows, entertainment, and conferences. A historic highlight of the editions is the attempt to create the largest truffle omelet, a symbol of the area's truffle-producing vocation.

A widespread celebration in the territory

The event is linked to the community dimension of the town of Fabro, where the Feast of San Martino is held with the Sagra della «Torta sotto 'l foco» (Truffle Cake under the Fire), and to the medieval re-enactment in Carnaiola. A weekend that tells the story of the Umbrian autumn through gastronomy, tradition, and hospitality, just a stone's throw from the Tuscan border.
