The village Carnival of Baldissero Torinese, featuring masks, games, and Piedmontese traditions
L'Carlevé d'Baudisè is the traditional Carnival of Baldissero Torinese, a small town nestled in the hills east of Turin, in Piedmont. The name itself, in the Piedmontese dialect, simply means "the Carnival of Baldissero" and perfectly captures the spirit of the event: a festival born from the community and for the community, bringing families, children, and seniors together through the masks and rituals of Carnival.
The event is promoted by the Associazione Volontari per Baldissero (AVB), a network of volunteers united by their love for the local area, in collaboration with the Municipal Library and various local entities, including the San Giuliano parish oratory and local associations. It is this participatory dimension that gives the Baldissero Carnival its authentic character, far from large-scale tourist events and close to the daily life of the town.
The program, spread over several days, offers a mix of activities designed for every age group:
Carnival has always been one of the most cherished events in Piedmontese towns: in Baldissero Torinese, it translates into a simple and warm celebration, where colorful costumes, confetti, and seasonal flavors tell the story of a hillside village. L'Carlevé d'Baudisè is also an opportunity for solidarity and meeting, in line with the mission of the AVB, which has always linked local festivities with civic initiatives and community support.
Located just a few kilometers from Turin, in the hilly area of the Turin province, Baldissero Torinese is easily accessible and offers, during Carnival, the chance to discover an authentic village event. Admission to the activities is free; for themed lunches and snacks, booking with the organizers is recommended.
L'Carlevé d'Baudisè 2026 is scheduled from Thursday, February 12 to Sunday, February 15, 2026 in Baldissero Torinese, in the Province of Turin. The edition has been announced by the Associazione Volontari per Baldissero (AVB), which organizes the event together with the Municipal Library and local entities.
For 2026, the Carnival once again offers storytelling, games and workshops for children, costume parades, entertainment for adults, and social moments with traditional flavors. The detailed calendar, with times and locations for individual initiatives, will be released by the organizers on the AVB website and the Municipality's channels in the weeks preceding the festival.
Baldissero Torinese is located in the hills east of Turin, in the Province of Turin. By car, it can be reached from Turin and Chieri in about 20-25 minutes. The nearest train station is in Chieri, which is then connected to the town by road.
