A new home for theatre in Costigliole Saluzzo
In the heart of the Saluzzo area, Il Teatro dei Suoni was born, the first live performance festival for families in the town of Costigliole Saluzzo, in the province of Cuneo, Piedmont. The venue is housed on the ground floor of the former Cascina Sordello, within the Palazzo Sarriod de La Tour complex, restored thanks to significant redevelopment funded by the PNRR (Mission 1, Component 3). The space ideally carries on the legacy of the children's theatre activities that previously animated the first floor of the palace, now offering a welcoming 99-seat hall.
Theatre, dance, music, and circus for little ones
The project is promoted by the La Fabbrica dei Suoni cooperative, active at Palazzo La Tour, in collaboration with the municipal administration and Piemonte dal Vivo, the Regional Multidisciplinary Circuit recognized by the Ministry of Culture. The programming is part of Corto Circuito, a project through which Piemonte dal Vivo supports the cultural growth of local areas, bringing live performance arts to smaller towns.
The first season features five Sunday appointments, always at 4:30 PM, from January to May: performances of actor-based theatre, dance, storytelling, and contemporary circus, designed for different age groups but capable of engaging the whole family.
Saturday workshops
Each show is accompanied by a free workshop on the preceding Saturday: led by the guest companies themselves, these sessions introduce children to the languages of the stage through play, listening, and imagination, stimulating fantasy and creativity.
A project for the local area
More than just a festival, Il Teatro dei Suoni represents a new stable cultural hub for Costigliole Saluzzo, capable of returning a space dedicated to childhood and families to the community. It is a piece that enriches the cultural offering of the Saluzzo area and the province of Cuneo, confirming Piedmont's commitment to spreading quality theatre even outside major cities.

The inaugural season of Il Teatro dei Suoni brought five Sundays of live performance for families to Costigliole Saluzzo, in the 99-seat hall restored in the former Cascina Sordello. A varied festival that alternated actor-based theatre, dance, storytelling, and contemporary circus, complemented by free Saturday workshops led by the guest companies.

Location
Il Teatro dei Suoni is located in the former Cascina Sordello, within the Palazzo Sarriod de La Tour area, in Costigliole Saluzzo (CN). The entrance is on the side of Piazza Generale Carlo Alberto Dalla Chiesa.
How to get there
By car, Costigliole Saluzzo is easily accessible from Saluzzo and Cuneo along the Varaita Valley road network. Parking is available near the town centre.
Tickets and reservations
Free admission for children under 2; 5 euros for children and teenagers aged 2 to 14; 7 euros for those 15 and older. Reservations are recommended via the online forms at www.lafabbricadeisuoni.it. Tickets can be collected and paid for at the theatre on the day of the show, with priority given to those who booked online.
Hours
Shows are on Sundays at 4:30 PM. Free workshops are held on the preceding Saturday.
