The commercial, cultural, and tourist fair that kicks off the summer season in the Valli di Lanzo
The Germagnano Spring Fair is one of the most anticipated events on the calendar of the Municipality of Germagnano, in the Province of Turin, in the heart of the Valli di Lanzo. It is traditionally held on the first Sunday of June and symbolically marks the start of the summer season, when the Piedmontese village opens its streets for a grand town festival with a commercial, cultural, and tourist focus.
Throughout the day, the town center, particularly the area along Via Celso Miglietti, transforms into a large open-air market. Stalls and exhibitors offer all kinds of goods, from local handicrafts to household items, in a lively and friendly atmosphere. The fair is also an opportunity for local shopkeepers, who participate with their window displays and initiatives related to the event.
A significant space is reserved for the tasting and sale of typical products from the Valli di Lanzo: mountain cheeses, cured meats, sweets, and specialties of the Piedmontese gastronomic tradition. The Spring Fair thus becomes a showcase for the region, where you can taste and purchase the genuine flavors of the Turin mountains.
In addition to the market, the event offers a program rich in side initiatives: photographic exhibitions, activities for young people, and outdoor sports demonstrations have enlivened past editions, confirming the fair's vocation to combine commerce, culture, and leisure. The event is designed to involve families, children, and visitors of all ages in a day to be spent in the open air.
Organized by the Municipality of Germagnano together with the local Pro Loco, the Spring Fair represents a meeting point for the community and a draw for visitors from the neighboring towns of the Valli di Lanzo and the Turin area. It is the ideal opportunity to discover Germagnano and its territory in a festive setting, just a few kilometers from the entrance to the alpine valleys of Piedmont.
