The rock festival in the woods of the Piné Plateau
The Gang Band Festival Piné is one of the most vibrant musical events in Trentino-Alto Adige: a multi-day festival entirely dedicated to live music that brings the Piné Plateau to life every late June, in the Municipality of Baselga di Pinè (Autonomous Province of Trento). Organized by the Rock 'n Pine' association, the festival has grown over the years into a gathering capable of bringing together hundreds of musicians and a large audience of enthusiasts.
Born from a group of local friends and musicians, the Gang Band Festival has made free access and inclusivity its hallmark. In recent years, the event has moved to a picturesque clearing along via del Bedolè, within the grounds of the former "G. Rea" Colonies, a large green area nestled in the woods that accommodates stages, stands, bars, and a campsite. The formula combines concerts, conviviality, and outdoor life in the true Trentino spirit.
The programming is intentionally eclectic, spanning many genres of live music:
The first days, with free admission, are dedicated to local acts, folk groups, and choirs, while the main evening hosts the headliners and requires an entry ticket.
The festival offers a complete experience: bar and kitchen services active throughout the event, ample parking, and a camping area about 500 meters from the stage, easily reachable on foot. It is the ideal opportunity to combine live music with the discovery of the Piné Plateau, among the lake, the trails, and the woods of the Val di Cembra and its surroundings.
With its informal atmosphere, variety of genres, and the natural setting of the woods, the Gang Band Festival is much more than just a series of concerts: it is a community celebration that promotes the territory of Baselga di Pinè and the entire Plateau, drawing crowds from all over Trentino and beyond.
The ninth edition opened on Tuesday, June 24 with the folk evening (Gruppo Bandistico Folk Pinetano, Lest'go with country dancing, Rais Pinaitre) and Wednesday, June 25 with the mountain choir evening (Coro Incontro di Voci di Trento, Coro Costalta, Coro Abete Rosso di Bedollo).
The rock festival kicked into high gear over the weekend:
Baselga di Pinè can be reached by car from Trento in about 25 minutes (SP83 towards the Piné Plateau). The festival area is located along via del Bedolè, at the former "G. Rea" Colonies. The reference train station is Trento, which is connected by suburban buses to the Plateau.
The opening days (folk, choirs) and several evenings have free admission; the main evening with headliners requires an entry ticket (approximately 18 euros). Please check the official channels of the organizer Rock 'n Pine' for updated dates and prices.
Bar and kitchen active for the duration of the events; ample parking; camping area about 500 meters from the stage.
