Street food on wheels arrives at Largo Lequio, in the heart of Pinerolo
FoodX is the new face of the Rolling Truck Street Food Festival, the traveling event that has been bringing the culture of street food on wheels across Italy for a decade. In Pinerolo, in the province of Turin, the event takes place in Largo Lequio, transforming the square into a large open-air gastronomic village where over twenty colorful, vintage food trucks offer freshly prepared specialties.
The heart of FoodX is variety: every truck is a true mobile kitchen bringing different traditions to the table. International offerings include buffalo burgers, pita gyros, burritos, smash burgers, and churros, while Italian tradition is represented by arrosticini, gnocco fritto, panzerotti, Romagna piadine, arancini, and gourmet sandwiches. There is no shortage of vegetarian and gluten-free alternatives, designed to ensure everyone can enjoy the experience.
FoodX distinguishes itself from classic street food gatherings through its focus on quality: street chefs work with selected raw materials and high hygiene standards, accompanied by craft beers and refined beverages. The event also prioritizes sustainability, using eco-friendly packaging made from recycled paper, wood, and cornstarch-based materials, along with careful waste sorting. The backdrop is provided by curated music that accompanies each day, making the atmosphere lively from afternoon until late at night.
In Pinerolo, FoodX takes place during a very busy weekend: the event is held in conjunction with the historic Spring Fair and the Pinerolo in Sella equestrian event, which enliven Corso Torino, Stradale Fenestrelle, and Piazza D'Armi. This combination makes this town in the Pinerolo area of Piedmont an ideal destination for a spring outing dedicated to taste, shopping, and tradition.
