The National Apple Fair of Cavour
Tuttomele is one of Italy's most significant fairs dedicated to apples and fruit growing. It takes place every November in Cavour, in the province of Turin, at the foot of the famous Rocca that overlooks the Piedmontese plains between Turin and Cuneo. Recognized in 2019 as an event of national importance by the Piedmont Region, the fair now attracts over 250,000 visitors in its most recent editions and spans over 15,000 square meters of exhibition space, much of which is covered and heated.
The heart of the event is the pomological exhibition, which showcases an extraordinary variety of apples grown by over 200 local fruit farmers, alongside ancient Piedmontese varieties protected by the Slow Food Ancient Piedmontese Apples presidium. Throughout the squares of the historic center, you will find exhibition stands, commercial pavilions, and areas dedicated to the direct sale of Piedmontese agri-food products.
The Apple Gastronomic Week involves participating restaurants in Cavour with menus entirely dedicated to the star fruit, ranging from traditional recipes to gourmet creations. There is no shortage of the famous apple fritters, show cooking sessions, the Taste Salon, and spaces dedicated to ciders and fruit spirits. The fair is organized by ProCavour in collaboration with the Municipality of Cavour, Coldiretti Turin, Slow Food, and the Association of Chefs of the Mole.
Beyond the exhibition area, Tuttomele offers a rich schedule of musical performances, folk groups, and bands, conferences on agriculture and innovation, photography and art exhibitions, workshops for children, and the historic national road race. A marquee theater and a covered entertainment area ensure that events continue even in case of bad weather.
Visiting Tuttomele is also the perfect opportunity to discover Cavour and its Rocca, an ancient settlement immersed in the fruit-growing landscape of the Pinerolo area. The event, which offers free admission, is one of the most beloved autumn appointments in Piedmont, successfully blending agricultural economy, popular culture, and tourism hospitality.
Every year in November, for nine consecutive days. Typical hours are from 9:00 AM until late evening.
Access to the event is free.
