An enduro weekend on the trails of the FolgaRide Bike Park in Serrada
FolgaRace is the mountain bike enduro event held in Serrada, a village in the municipality of Folgaria, on the Alpe Cimbra plateau in the province of Trento, in the heart of Trentino-Alto Adige. The race takes place at the FolgaRide Bike Park, featuring flow trails, lift-serviced descents, and technical tracks winding through the woods surrounding the village. The event, organized by the Teste di Marmo team, debuted in 2026, bringing a full weekend dedicated to cycling to the valley.
The FolgaRace format splits the competition over two days with distinct courses and categories. Saturday is reserved for younger riders with the FolgaRace Kids, a mini-enduro race designed to introduce the next generation to the sport: categories G1-G3 tackle two special stages, while G4-G6 take on three. Sunday is the main event, open to Junior, Enduro, and E-Bike categories, featuring three special stages designed along a fast, pedaling-intensive course, with one stage serviced by the ski lifts.
Since its inception, FolgaRace has been part of the official Italian Cycling Federation calendar, awarding the titles of Trentino provincial champion and South Tyrol regional champion in enduro, while also serving as a stage of the Triveneto MTB Enduro Series. This recognition has attracted riders from across Northern Italy to Serrada and highlighted the Alpe Cimbra region, which has invested heavily in bike tourism in recent years with new trails, bike parks, and gravel routes.
As this is a demanding discipline, participation requires proper equipment: a full-face helmet, full body protection, and a mountain bike equipped with a single-crown fork and flat pedals. A campsite conveniently located near the start and the Serrada lifts allows participants to experience the entire weekend in close contact with the race and the mountains.
Nestled among the forests of the Folgaria plateau, Serrada provides the perfect backdrop for an event of this kind: fresh high-altitude air, views of the Dolomites, and an ever-expanding network of trails. FolgaRace is therefore not just a sporting competition, but an opportunity to discover the cycling side of Trentino in late May, as the summer mountain season begins.
The first edition of FolgaRace brought the Alpe Cimbra to life on May 23-24, 2026, on the trails of the FolgaRide Bike Park in Serrada. Saturday featured the promotional FolgaRace Kids format for youth categories G1-G6, while Sunday saw Juniors, Enduro athletes, and E-Bikers compete on three special stages traced along a fast, pedaling-intensive course.
The race, valid as a Trentino provincial championship, South Tyrol regional championship, and a stage of the Triveneto MTB Enduro Series, saw an excellent turnout. In the men's elite category, the timeless Martino Fruet (Team Lapierre Trentino) took the win ahead of South Tyrolean Daniel Cavosi; the E-Enduro title went to Fabio Corradini (Team Fassa Bike). The coveted jerseys were presented by the Trentino and Alto Adige committees of the Italian Cycling Federation.
Serrada is a village of Folgaria (TN), on the Alpe Cimbra. By car, take the A22 Brenner motorway (exit Rovereto Nord) and head up towards the plateau; the start is at the Serrada lifts, in the Fondo Piccolo area.
