Flower and food festival in the historic center of Torre Pellice
Fiori e Sapori is the annual festival that brings the historic center of Torre Pellice to life at the end of April. Located in the Metropolitan City of Turin in the heart of the Val Pellice, Piedmont, the town transforms for an entire weekend as its pedestrian streets and squares fill with stalls and floral arrangements, becoming a true open-air garden. The event is organized by the Pro Loco of Torre Pellice, in collaboration with the Val Pellice Pro Loco Consortium, and offers a perfect blend of horticulture, quality agriculture, and local gastronomy.
The stars of the event are the nurserymen and farmers, who display rare plants, flowers, aromatic herbs, and zero-kilometer products along the streets and in the square. Alongside the floral stalls, a market featuring natural and eco-friendly products is set up under the town hall arcades. The festival is a wonderful opportunity to discover the valley's culinary excellence while strolling through the colors and scents that herald spring at the foot of the Cottian Alps.
Fiori e Sapori is more than just a market; it is an event that weaves together taste and social commitment. Local associations enliven the festival with gastronomic offerings designed to support local causes. Recurring highlights include the AIB (Forest Fire Brigade) stand serving arrosticini to raise funds, the market stall from the Torre Pellice committee of the Italian Red Cross, and the apple fritters served by the Pro Loco under the arcades. Sunday is often dedicated to takeaway lunches and the "Eat and Walk in the Courtyards" gastronomic tour, which leads visitors to discover the most charming corners of the town.
The event is designed for all ages. In addition to the stalls, there are dedicated spaces for children, such as inflatables and play areas, making Fiori e Sapori an ideal family outing. The setting of Torre Pellice's historic center, with its arcades and squares, provides an authentic and welcoming atmosphere.
Located about fifty kilometers from Turin, Torre Pellice is considered the "capital" of the Waldensian valleys and preserves a strong cultural identity. The Fiori e Sapori festival celebrates this heritage by connecting producers, associations, and the valley's Pro Loco, offering residents and visitors a vibrant and welcoming image of the Alpine Piedmont. It is now a well-established fixture in the spring calendar of the province of Turin.
The 26th edition of Fiori e Sapori was held on April 25 and 26, 2026, bringing the historic center of Torre Pellice to life from morning until 7:00 PM. Along the pedestrian streets and in the square, stalls of nurserymen and farmers offered rare plants and zero-kilometer products.
