The heart of the event is the large communal table in the square, where 'bacalà alla bisiaca' is prepared and served thanks to the collaboration of local restaurateurs and volunteers. Surrounding this signature dish is a rich and popular programme: card tournaments (briscola), bike rides, treasure hunts for children, tombola (lotto), dog parades, and plenty of live music from local artists. The festival traditionally opens with the "Galà del Bacalà Bisiac", an event dedicated to celebrating the recipe.
