The grape harvest festival in the heart of Collio
Cormòns is one of the capitals of Collio, one of the most prestigious wine-growing areas in Italy, straddling the border with Slovenia. Here, every year at the end of September, the Festa Provinciale dell'Uva is celebrated, an event that since 1938 has accompanied the community in the most important moment of the year for a land of wine: the harvest.
Among the longest-running in the region, the Festa dell'Uva is recognized as one of the most significant celebrations of the wine culture of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Through the decades, it has managed to renew itself while maintaining an intact connection with the land, the winemakers, and the peasant traditions of the Collio.
The center of Cormòns, between Piazza della Libertà, Piazza XXIV Maggio, and the connecting streets, fills with over forty stands offering tastings of great Collio wines and regional gastronomic specialties. The program alternates concerts, DJ sets, round tables, and shows for all ages, with an original vintage market dedicated to objects and clothing from the fifties to the nineties.
The highlight is the traditional parade on Sunday afternoon, featuring folklore groups, musical bands, historic tractors, vintage cars, and bicycles parading through the town streets. A collective celebration that, with the support of the Municipality of Cormòns and local entities, celebrates the identity of one of Italy's most beloved wine regions.
For 2026, the Festa Provinciale dell'Uva is confirmed for late September in Cormòns, during the Collio harvest season. The specific dates have not yet been officially announced, but the event will offer its established format: tastings of Collio wines, over forty food stands, concerts and DJ sets, a vintage market, and the traditional Sunday parade with folklore groups, bands, and vintage tractors.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition will be published by the organization in the weeks leading up to the event. The traditional setup, spread across Piazza della Libertà, Piazza XXIV Maggio, and the town's streets, includes:
