Managed by FAI - Fondo per l'Ambiente Italiano (National Trust of Italy), this extraordinary Piedmontese manor welcomes families, children, and art lovers for a day that combines fun, relaxation, and the discovery of historical heritage.
The Palm Garden and outdoor picnics
The heart of the festival is the exclusive Palm Garden, where you can spread out a blanket and enjoy a picnic surrounded by greenery in the shadow of the castle. For those who prefer a hassle-free experience, FAI offers pre-booked picnic baskets to enjoy in the park. Between bites, the green space comes alive with outdoor games and moments of pure relaxation for both adults and children.
Activities for children
The day is specifically designed for families. Little ones can take part in the traditional egg hunt, try their hand at hands-on workshops, and discover old-fashioned games like the wooden spinning tops crafted by artisan Luigi Abbà . A highlight in some editions is the pony ride experience with the ASD Ippica Saluzzese from Lagnasco, offering an exciting first encounter with horses.
Guided tours of the castle
Easter Monday is also the perfect occasion to discover or rediscover one of the most precious FAI properties in Piedmont. Guided tours lead visitors through the frescoed rooms of the residence of the Marquises of Saluzzo, where you can admire the famous Baronial Hall with its cycle of Heroes and Heroines and the evocative Fountain of Youth, a masterpiece of European late-Gothic painting, as well as the 16th-century kitchen and the Red Rooms.

The FAI offers a day of history, nature, and tradition at the Manta (CN) property, featuring picnics in the exclusive Palm Garden, egg hunts, hands-on workshops, garden games, and guided tours of the castle. There will also be activities for children, including pony rides provided by the ASD Ippica Saluzzese of Lagnasco and wooden spinning tops by Luigi Abbà .

Program for the day at Castello della Manta:
- From 10:15 AM to 12:45 PM and from 2:15 PM to 4:15 PM (tours every 30 minutes) — Entrance to the Palm Garden, children's activities, and guided tour of the Castle.
- From 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM (tours every hour) — Entrance to the Palm Garden and children's activities (no guided tour).
Activities scheduled: picnics in the exclusive Palm Garden, egg hunt, hands-on workshops, garden games, pony rides for children with the ASD Ippica Saluzzese of Lagnasco, and wooden spinning tops by Luigi Abbà . How to get there
The Castello della Manta is located at Via De Rege Thesauro 3, in Manta (CN), just a few kilometers from Saluzzo. By car from the A6 Turin-Savona motorway, take the Marene exit, then follow signs for Saluzzo-Manta. The nearest train station is in Saluzzo.
