Two evenings dedicated to dance in Piazza Falcone e Borsellino
danziAMO - Dance Arts Festival is the new event that the Municipality of Manfredonia is dedicating to the world of dance. Part of the Manfredonia Festival 2026 program, this initiative was created with the goal of providing space, dignity, and visibility to the region's choreographic scene and the numerous talents who represent the city with pride, even on a national level.
For two evenings, Piazza Falcone e Borsellino—one of the most picturesque corners of Manfredonia, overlooking the Tourist Port and just a stone's throw from the Church of Sant'Andrea—will turn into a true open-air theater stage, offering citizens and visitors a spectacle of emotion and beauty under the summer sky of the Gulf.
The stage will host a variety of choreographies and performances that tell the story of dance in its many expressions: from elegance to strength, from technique to emotion, and from artistic training to the ability to build community. It is a journey designed to showcase local schools, associations, and dancers, in an intertwining of styles ranging from classical repertoire to more contemporary forms.
The two evenings will be hosted by Anna Rita Granatiero and Matteo Perillo, who will guide the audience through the program of performances.
danziAMO was born from an idea by the Councilor for Welfare and Culture Maria Teresa Valente, realized in collaboration with Antonietta D'Anzeris and Carmela D'Apolito. The initiative, supported by Mayor Domenico la Marca, testifies to the administration's desire to enhance the city's artistic excellence, offering local talents an important stage in a breathtaking setting, facing the Tourist Port of Manfredonia.
Manfredonia, a town in the Gargano area in the province of Foggia, offers a rich calendar of events during the summer that bring squares, theaters, and the seafront to life between June and August. danziAMO is one of the many highlights of the Manfredonia Festival, the event that weaves together music, theater, literature, gastronomy, and visual arts, making the city a cultural reference point in Northern Puglia.
The inaugural edition of danziAMO - Dance Arts Festival brings Piazza Falcone e Borsellino to life for two consecutive evenings, transforming the space in front of the Manfredonia Tourist Port into an open-air stage. The festival, part of the Manfredonia Festival 2026, highlights local schools, associations, and dancers in a journey through the multiple languages of dance.
Promoted by the Councilor for Welfare and Culture Maria Teresa Valente, with Antonietta D'Anzeris and Carmela D'Apolito, the initiative offers local talents an important stage in a suggestive setting, blending technique, emotion, and a sense of community.
