Six Sundays of chamber music between Cherasco and Dogliani, in the heart of the Langhe
D'Accordi is a collaborative music festival linking the towns of Cherasco and Dogliani, two jewels of the Cuneo province overlooking the Piedmontese Langhe. The name is a clever play on words: in music, a chord (accordo) is a set of notes creating harmony; being in agreement (d'accordo) means sharing the same vision. This is precisely the spirit of the festival, which fosters a dialogue between two neighboring yet distinct villages, both renowned for their architectural identity and status as cities of art.
The festival spans six Sundays, alternating between two venues: the evocative Church of San Gregorio in Cherasco and the intimate Sacra Famiglia Theatre in Dogliani. Concerts typically begin at 5:00 PM, a format designed to be accessible to everyone, including families. The program ranges from chamber music to European Baroque, from chamber duos to fusions of classical and rock, showcasing the vitality of the Italian school alongside the elegance of French and German traditions.
D'Accordi is part of the broader Contaminazioni cultural program promoted by the Municipality of Cherasco, a series of cultural encounters spanning much of the year. The initiative is supported by Fondazione CRC and Fondazione CRT, confirming its deep roots in the Langhe territory and its network of cultural institutions.
Cherasco, famous for its historic center, ancient mansions, and snail-based culinary tradition, and Dogliani, home of Dolcetto wine and a village with Risorgimento roots, share a wealth of history, culture, and gastronomy. D'Accordi thus becomes not only a musical event but also an opportunity to discover two towns in the heart of Piedmont, during a time of year—between February and March—when the Langhe reveals its most intimate and serene side.
All events are free of charge: a deliberate choice to make classical music a shared heritage open to everyone, from dedicated music lovers to casual listeners, or simply those looking for a different kind of Sunday afternoon in the Cuneo hills.
The second edition of D'Accordi confirms the winning formula of the collaborative festival between Cherasco and Dogliani: six Sundays of music, all with free admission, alternating between the two historic venues. The 2026 calendar opens on February 15th in Dogliani and closes on March 29th in Cherasco with an evening candlelight concert. The artistic proposal weaves together chamber duos, Baroque repertoire performed with a string orchestra, and fusions between classical and rock music, highlighting both the Italian school and French and German traditions. The initiative, part of the Contaminazioni program, is supported by Fondazione CRC and Fondazione CRT.
