The grand finale of the 22nd edition at the Saluzzo Cathedral with the "Laudato si'" concert
After six months of concerts scattered throughout the valleys and municipalities of the Province of Cuneo, the 22nd edition of Suoni dal Monviso draws to a close in the heart of Saluzzo, the historic capital of the Marquisate and the festival's home base. On Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 9:00 PM, the solemn Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta will host the festival's closing event, a moment that has always been the most anticipated and intimate highlight of the entire season.
The star of the evening is the "Laudato si'" program, a musical journey that weaves together great contemporary sacred music with the language of jazz. The program features two compositions by Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo - Dark Night of the Soul and Luminous Night of the Soul - and the celebrated Jazz Mass by Swedish composer Stephen Dobrogosz, luminous and intense pieces that enhance the acoustics of the Cathedral's nave. On stage, the Bartolomeo Bruni Orchestra and the I Polifonici del Marchesato Choir, the ensemble that has given the festival its name and soul since its inception.
The Saluzzo event is the culmination of a calendar that spans from June to November, featuring ten events in eight municipalities across four Cuneo valleys - from the Po Valley to the Varaita Valley, and from the Bronda Valley to the Infernotto Valley. Highlights of the 2026 edition included concerts by Francesca Michielin in Paesana and Arisa in Sampeyre, alongside numerous local choral, orchestral, and emerging groups. The festival is promoted by the I Polifonici del Marchesato Association with the support of over thirty public and private partners.
The common thread of the 22nd edition is the dialogue between music and nature, expressed through the four elements - air, water, earth, and fire - which guide the atmospheres of the various concerts. The edition places particular emphasis on environmental sustainability, event accessibility, and the involvement of younger generations, values that have animated the Polifonici del Marchesato since their founding in 2004.
