An evening of wine, rock, and stars

Calice al Forte Pozzacchio is an evening food and wine event hosted in the municipality of Trambileno, in the Vallagarina valley, at the evocative Forte Pozzacchio (Werk Valmorbia), one of the most scenic Austro-Hungarian fortresses in the Trentino region. Designed to celebrate the eve of the Night of Saint Lawrence, the event combines a passion for fine wine, local gastronomy, and music in a unique natural and historical setting in the Province of Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige.

Tasting itineraries

The heart of the evening lies in two distinct wine itineraries that guide guests through the fort's halls and walkways:

• "Roccia" (Rock) Path: dedicated to structured, earth-driven wines from Vallagarina wineries.
• "Stelle" (Stars) Path: curated for fresher, more luminous wines, perfectly in tune with the Night of Saint Lawrence.

The ticket includes four wine tastings, a culinary pairing, and admission to the fort, with the option to purchase additional glasses directly from the producers present.

Music, food, and stargazing

The tastings are accompanied by the warm, enveloping sounds of vinyl music, with a DJ set by the duo Mobororè, while a food truck rounds out the evening's culinary offerings. From the panoramic terrace, eyes turn toward the summer sky: the fort's elevated position, far from city lights, makes it a prime spot for observing the Perseid meteor shower.

A fortress to discover

Built by the Austro-Hungarian Empire in the early 20th century and a stage for the events of the Great War on the Trentino front, Forte Pozzacchio is now a restored and celebrated site of memory. During the evening, visitors can book a night-time guided tour for an additional fee to explore the history and architecture of the fortress carved directly into the rock.

A growing event

Launched in 2024, the event is organized by the Rovereto, Vallagarina and Monte Baldo Tourism Board in collaboration with the Municipality of Trambileno and the association managing the fort. The 2025 edition saw approximately 180 participants, doubling the numbers of the inaugural year and cementing Calice al Forte Pozzacchio as one of the most original summer experiences in the Vallagarina valley.
