A week to discover music in Boves

The Summer Music Week is the summer program offered by the "Giovanni Mosca" Civic Institute of Music in Boves, in the province of Cuneo, in the heart of southern Piedmont. For five consecutive mornings, participants experience a campus dedicated entirely to music and creativity, hosted in the renovated spaces of Villa Berrini.

The initiative is a collaboration between the Civic Institute of Music, the Municipality of Boves, and La Fabbrica dei Suoni, a local organization specializing in music education for young people. The result is an experience that goes beyond teaching an instrument, offering a true path of expression and discovery.

A creative journey through sound, color, and movement

The common thread of the week is the encounter between music and art. Each day becomes an opportunity to explore sound, color, and movement as interconnected languages through activities designed to be accessible to everyone. Highlights include active listening, improvisation, musical games, and art workshops that stimulate imagination and teamwork.

Two groups, two paths

The Summer Music Week is aimed at children and teenagers, divided into two groups based on age and experience:

• First group: children from the second to the fifth grade of primary school, even without any previous musical experience.
• Second group: teenagers aged 11 and up who have been studying an instrument for at least one year.

This structure allows us to welcome both those approaching the world of sound for the first time and those wishing to deepen their existing skills, ensuring that everyone receives guidance tailored to their level.

Villa Berrini, the new home of music in Boves

The campus takes place at Villa Berrini, the headquarters of the Civic Institute of Music following the recent renovation of its facilities. The villa has become the reference point for musical life in Boves, hosting annual courses and special initiatives of the Institute, named after Maestro Giovanni Mosca. The Summer Music Week is one of the most anticipated moments of the calendar, enlivening the town with the music of its youngest protagonists.
