BiVeg, the vegan fair in the heart of Biella
BiVeg is the event that brings a day entirely dedicated to the plant-based world and the culture of sustainability to the Borgo del Piazzo, the ancient medieval core of Biella in Piedmont, every spring. Between Piazza Cisterna and the prestigious Palazzo Gromo Losa, over 2,000 square meters are transformed into a space for meeting, discovery, and sharing, open to everyone, whether vegan or not.
Promoted by Biella-based dietitian Chiara Gotardo (ChiaramenteVeg), the fair was created with the goal of showing how rich, tasty, and accessible a plant-based diet can be, focusing on human health, the planet's well-being, and respect for animals.

An event for the whole city
Founded in 2023, BiVeg has quickly established itself as one of the most anticipated events in the Piedmontese vegan scene, attracting around 1,500 visitors per edition. The setting of the Borgo del Piazzo, also accessible via the historic funicular, helps make the day an experience that combines conscious flavors, culture, and the discovery of one of the most fascinating corners of the Province of Biella.
Admission to the fair is completely free; some specific activities, such as tastings and workshops, require a participation fee and booking.

L'edizione 2026 di BiVeg ha animato Piazza Cisterna e Palazzo Gromo Losa con oltre 80 espositori di cibo vegetale e prodotti sostenibili, un'ampia area food 100% vegana e una giornata intensa di incontri. Tra le novità, la Zero Proof Bar con cocktail alcol free realizzata in collaborazione con La Sobreria e Tibi. La stampa locale ha riportato una buona affluenza di pubblico interessato a uno stile di vita consapevole e sostenibile.
La giornata si è conclusa in serata con la proiezione del documentario, accompagnata da un dibattito.

How to get there
The Borgo del Piazzo is located in a restricted traffic zone (ZTL). It is recommended to park for free at the Funicular station in the center of Biella and take the funicular up to the Piazzo, or use the Borgo del Piazzo parking lots accessible via elevator.

Free. Some activities (guided tastings, snacks, tours, some workshops) are paid and require booking via Eventbrite.
