The Bibbona Folk Festival

The Bibbona Folk Festival is a musical event that transforms Piazza della Vittoria in the heart of Bibbona into an open-air stage dedicated to singer-songwriter music, folk, and Italian popular song every June. The festival takes place in the municipality of Bibbona, a charming hilltop village in the province of Livorno, Tuscany, overlooking the Etruscan Coast and just a few kilometers from the sea at Marina di Bibbona.

A young yet prestigious festival

Founded in 2023, the festival has quickly established itself as a high-quality highlight of the Tuscan summer calendar. The artistic direction is curated by journalist and music critic Benedetto Ferrara alongside the cultural association La CHUTE APS, in collaboration with the Municipality of Bibbona. Over the years, the festival has hosted artists such as Ginevra di Marco, Bobo Rondelli, Finaz from Bandabardò, and I Matti delle Giuncaie, building a program focused on singer-songwriter traditions and the roots of popular music.

The 2026 edition

The 4th edition is scheduled for Friday, June 19th, and Saturday, June 20th, 2026, with concerts starting at 9:00 PM. The stage in Piazza della Vittoria will host two evenings dedicated to contemporary folk and singer-songwriter music, featuring the highly anticipated organetto player Riccardo Tesi, one of Italy's greatest masters of the instrument, accompanied by the iconic singer-songwriter Nada. All concerts are free to attend.

The festival thrives on the intimate setting of the village: the square fills with an audience under the stars, creating the informal and familiar atmosphere typical of summer evenings in the Livorno Maremma.
