The Tursenum Festival is a concert series that brings music to the most fascinating locations in Terricciola, an Etruscan-origin village in the Province of Pisa, Tuscany. The name itself evokes the area's ancient roots: the Tursení were the Etruscans to the Greeks, and the Etruscan heritage of these hills provides the backdrop for an event that weaves together music, wine, and culture.

The festival's concept is simple yet powerful: to transform historic villas, wineries, gardens, and sanctuaries into open-air theaters where classical music engages with the magic of the sunset over the Pisan hills. Collaboration with the Mascagni Conservatory

The Tursenum Festival was born from a partnership between the Municipality of Terricciola and the Pietro Mascagni Conservatory of Livorno. This synergy brings ensembles, duos, and soloists from the Tuscan academic and professional scene to the area, with programs ranging from classical to contemporary repertoires. As noted by the municipal administration, the goal is to enhance the village's heritage through the universal language of music.

Stops in villages and wineries

The strength of the festival lies in its itinerant nature: every evening changes the setting, moving between the hamlets and wineries of the municipality.
