Benedetta Primavera: the Gargano village beyond summer

Benedetta Primavera is the event calendar that the Municipality of Peschici, located in the Province of Foggia in the heart of the Gargano, dedicates to the beautiful spring season before the arrival of mass beach tourism. Created with the explicit goal of de-seasonalizing the tourism offer, the program transforms the squares and alleys of the historic center into a widespread stage for about three months, open to both residents and visitors.

A collective and multi-genre program

The strength of the event lies in its collective nature: working alongside the Municipality are schools, local associations, parishes, and numerous spontaneous groups. The result is a diverse calendar that weaves together the many souls of the Peschici community:

• Food and Wine Festivals: events such as the Fish Festival and the Notes and Pettole Festival celebrate the flavors of the sea and the Gargano tradition.
• Religious festivals and popular rites: from the Stations of the Cross with living tableaux to saint celebrations, Peschici's spring retains a strong devotional dimension.
• Music and entertainment: concerts, band reviews, dance evenings, and lyrical-symphonic events enliven Piazza Pertini and city spaces.
• Sport: youth soccer tournaments, vintage car rallies, and outdoor initiatives involve the younger generations.
• Culture and social issues: performance-lectures and meetings on civil topics, ranging from the fight against violence against women to gambling addiction prevention.

Peschici, pearl of the Gargano

Perched on a white rock spur overlooking the Adriatic Sea, Peschici is one of the most charming villages in Puglia. Its narrow alleys, white houses, and famous trabucchi (traditional fishing platforms) provide a natural backdrop for the Benedetta Primavera events, inviting you to discover the town in its most authentic guise, far from the summer crowds.

More than just a festival, Benedetta Primavera is a journey designed to unite the community and extend the Gargano tourist season. Each edition confirms the municipal administration's desire to tell the story of Peschici through culture, tradition, and participation, offering those visiting Puglia one more reason to arrive as early as spring.
