The San Martino Festival
The Ancient Festival of San Martino is the historic autumn fair of Velo d'Astico, in the province of Vicenza, linked to the feast of San Martino. An event that combines the agricultural and rural dimension of the territory with the village festival, with a rich program spread over several days.
Fair, Tractors, and Market Exhibition
Among the highlights are the agricultural fair with a market exhibition of typical products and local crafts, the tractor parade, music, and shows. The concluding Sunday is the most intense: the tractor gathering in the morning, the opening of the fair, the blessing and parade, and the food stand with traditional dishes.
The Gran Maronada
The most anticipated moment is the Gran Maronada: the large distribution of roasted chestnuts accompanied by wine, which attracts residents and visitors every year. Organized by the Pro Loco of Velo d'Astico, the festival is one of the most cherished autumn celebrations in Alto Vicentino, at the foot of the Piccole Dolomiti.

In 2026, Velo d'Astico will again celebrate its Ancient Festival of San Martino in early November. The event renews the formula of the agricultural fair with a market exhibition, tractor parade, music, and shows.
The concluding Sunday is the highlight: in the morning, the tractor gathering (9:30 AM), the fair opening (10:00 AM), the blessing and parade (11:00 AM), the gastronomic stand (12:30 PM), and in the afternoon, the Gran Maronada with roasted chestnuts and wine (2:00 PM).
