The summer celebration of the agnolotto in the Borgata Roggia of Bosconero
In the heart of the Canavese, just a few kilometers from Turin, the town of Bosconero (Province of Turin, Piedmont) dedicates one of its most beloved festivals every summer to the dish that best represents local gastronomic tradition: the agnolotto. The Agnolotto Festival, organized by the Comitato La Rusà with the support of the municipality and numerous volunteers, takes place in the charming Borgata Roggia, a lush, green location that provides a natural backdrop for four days of conviviality.
The event combines fine food and wine, music, and social interaction in a program that ranges from dance evenings to sporting events. Food stalls are open every night, offering agnolotto in all its variations, from the classic Canavese recipe to the unique fried version, introduced in recent editions as a delicious novelty. Other Piedmontese culinary specialties are also available, accompanied by local wines.
The festival evenings are enlivened by concerts, DJ sets, and ballroom dance orchestras, a deeply felt tradition in Piedmont. Among the most awaited events is the Memorial Paolo Mangeruga, a motorcycle rally that brings together bike and scooter enthusiasts every year for a day of touring through the Canavese lands, discovering the territory in a spirit of remembrance. The rally, reaching its ninth edition in 2026, traditionally departs from Borgata Roggia.
Alongside the gastronomic and festive dimension, the Agnolotto Festival has always maintained a charitable soul: part of the proceeds from certain initiatives, such as the night walks, is donated to local charitable causes. It is a festival built by volunteers for the community, capable of attracting visitors from all over the Canavese and neighboring provinces.
