A festival made by young people, for young people

Youth in Fest, known to everyone as GIF, is much more than just an event: it is a project entirely conceived, organized, and managed by young volunteers. Launched in 2024 as an experimental initiative in the Municipality of Vinovo, in the province of Turin, the festival has quickly established itself as a benchmark for youth empowerment in the area. Each year, it grows in ambition, space, and participation, confirming its status as one of the most vibrant events in the Turin metropolitan area dedicated to the new generation.

Three hubs, one widespread festival

The GIF formula is that of a widespread festival capable of transforming various locations in Vinovo into spaces for meeting, play, and creativity. The beating heart is the Parco del Castello Della Rovere, where live music, DJ sets, street food, and areas dedicated to artistic expression are concentrated, including contests, street art, and free-play zones. This is complemented by awareness-raising activities such as ANPASopoli, an interactive space dedicated to volunteering, along with practical first aid and civil protection workshops.

Cascina Don Gerardo is the realm for gaming enthusiasts: this is where tournaments and activities dedicated to Warhammer, Magic, board games, and role-playing games take place, featuring publishers and illustrators from the sector. Finally, the Civic Library hosts LARP (Live Action Role-Playing) sessions as well as meetings and conferences on social issues, in a constant dialogue between fun and reflection.

An event that combines fun and commitment

What sets GIF apart is its dual nature: on one hand, the party, music, and games; on the other, civic engagement and volunteering, values promoted by the associations that organize it. The festival is the result of a synergy between the ANPAS Piedmont Regional Committee, the Croce Verde Vinovo Candiolo Piobesi, the Oratorio Insieme in Famiglia, the "Generazione Per" Youth Council, and the Municipality of Vinovo.

Vinovo and Piedmont take center stage

Set within the context of the Province of Turin and the Piedmont Region, GIF represents a virtuous model of how young people can become active protagonists in the life of their territory. The setting of the Parco del Castello Della Rovere, with its history and beauty, adds an identity-defining value to the event, which attracts hundreds of participants from Vinovo and neighboring towns every year.
