The Wine Nights at Cantina Rotaliana

The Wine Nights are the summer highlight at the Cantina Rotaliana in Mezzolombardo, a historic wine cooperative in the Piana Rotaliana, located in the heart of Trentino-Alto Adige, in the province of Trento. Every Friday in July, the Wine Shop at Via Trento 65/b opens its doors, transforming into an open-air lounge where wine becomes the focus of conversation, socialising, and delicious pairings. The evenings run from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with free entry and pay-per-consumption.

Wine and local flavors

The charm of the Wine Nights lies in their simplicity: a quality glass of wine, the summer breeze of the Piana Rotaliana, and local flavors. During the evenings, you can taste the winery's signature wines, from Trentodoc, the mountain-grown classic method sparkling wine, to whites, rosés, and the Teroldego Rotaliano, the great red wine that has made this plain at the foot of the Brenta Dolomites famous. Glasses are paired with boards featuring a selection of cured meats and cheeses from Trentino and, on a rotating basis, food trucks that offer different pairings every Friday.

What makes the Wine Nights special is the variety: the gastronomic offerings change with every event. You can find everything from street food like tacos and paella to specialties more deeply rooted in the region, such as the flavors of the Val di Fiemme and Val di Cembra. It is an informal and pleasant way to discover Trentino's food and wine, from local classics to international influences, always with a good glass in hand.

How to participate

Entry to the Wine Nights is free: you only pay for what you consume in terms of wine and food. Table reservations are recommended, especially on busier nights. The events take place even in case of bad weather, thanks to the covered areas of the Wine Shop. Organized directly by Cantina Rotaliana, the event is an ideal opportunity for both residents and tourists vacationing in Mezzolombardo and the Piana Rotaliana to enjoy a Trentino summer dedicated to fine wine.
