VINcanto d'Estate is one of the most elegant summer highlights in Zapponeta, a small coastal town in the province of Foggia, Apulia. For one night, the seafront and Piazza Nettuno are pedestrianized and set up as a refined food and wine trail, where guests stroll between stands with a wine glass around their necks, enjoying the best Apulian wines in the cool sea breeze.

Over thirty Apulian wineries for tasting

The heart of the event is the grand tasting area: over thirty local wineries, particularly from the Capitanata and Daunia regions, present their labels to the public. The tasting is accompanied and narrated by AIS Puglia sommeliers, who guide visitors through the discovery of indigenous grape varieties and local production, fostering a dialogue between enthusiasts and producers.

Accompanying the wines is a selection of local gastronomic specialties, prepared by local businesses and associations. Highlights from previous editions include:

• artisanal focaccia and bread with extra virgin olive oil;
• local cured meats and fresh cheeses;
• bruschetta and local baby mozzarella;
• traditional hot dishes with a modern twist;
• typical desserts and baked goods.

Music and summer atmosphere

The evening is brought to life by live music, which accompanies the food and wine stroll until late, giving the Zapponeta coast the relaxed and convivial atmosphere of August nights. The event is designed as a widespread festival—elegant yet accessible—open to everyone.

Part of the Zapponeta Blu Festival

VINcanto d'Estate is part of the rich program of the Zapponeta Blu Festival, the summer series promoted by the Municipality of Zapponeta in collaboration with the Terra, Aria, Acqua e Fuoco association and numerous local entities. The festival enlivens the town, which has held the Blue Flag status for years, with music, culture, traditions, and flavors from sunset until late at night, celebrating the identity of this stretch of the Apulian coast overlooking the Gulf of Manfredonia.
